This 10-week course (8-weeks online and 2 in-person gatherings) is targeted toward anyone at any career level (including upper-level college students, UMass affiliation not required) interested in learning the nuts and bolts of land conservation transactions for professional application. The goal of this course is to provide participants the skills, tools and understanding of land protection to better equip them for a career in land protection.

Wildlands Trust is hosting SOLO School for a 2-day Wilderness First Aid and CPR course.

Accidents happen. People get hurt, sick, or lost. The temperature drops, the wind picks up, and it starts to rain. Would you know what to do? Many backcountry emergencies are preventable, and even when bad things happen, sometimes the wrong care can make things worse. By learning a few basic skills, you can make the difference between a good outcome and a bad one-and maybe even save a life.

Climate-Informed Land Stewardship Series

This three-part series, hosted by MLTC, will provide information, tools, and peer support to help land trusts understand how they could manage lands under their direct stewardship in ways that mitigate and/or adapt to current and projected climate change impacts. The goal is to provide examples and manageable, actionable suggestions that may already be in their toolboxes to build confidence to tackle the challenge.
